Absolute Flash

DC Comics has launched Absolute Flash #1, a fresh take on Wally West in the Absolute Universe, written by Jeff Lemire with stunning artwork by Nick Robles. This series reimagines Wally in a world without the Speed Force, legacy, or family, making it a unique reinvention of The Flash mythos

An Amazing Introduction to a New Wally West

The first issue introduces Wally as a 15-year-old teenager, struggling to find his place in a world where he seems to be the only speedster at the moment. The story blends superhero action with a darker, more grounded tone, setting it apart from previous Flash series

A Game-Changer for Flash Comics

One of the most exciting aspects of Absolute Flash is how it strips Wally of everything that once defined him. Without the Speed Force or his legacy as Kid Flash, Wally must carve a new path, making this series an exciting shake-up for the Flash mythology. For the first time, The Flash does not start his story in either Central City or Keystone City, adding another layer of unpredictability to this reinvention.

The Rogues Like You’ve Never Seen Before

This Absolute Universe reinvents classic villains, now serving in the U.S. military. Captain Cold, The Trickster, Captain Boomerang, and Golden Glider are part of this new version of the Rogues. Despite working for the Central City Police Department in past Flash stories, this is the first time they are officially portrayed as part of the military.

Spoiler Warning! Shocking Revelations About Wally’s Past

In a surprising twist, Barry Allen is also working for the military, under the command of Rudy West, Wally’s father. Meanwhile, Wally’s mother is dead, adding even more tragedy to his story. At this moment, we don’t know anything about Iris West in this universe, leaving fans wondering about her role in Wally’s life .

Barry was the only one who believed in Wally, and his fate is tied to the same accident that granted Wally his powers. However, Barry died while wearing the same suit that Wally is now using as The Flash. This raises more questions—was this a test suit for the experiment, or is there something else we don’t know yet? There’s also a theory that Barry might return as the Black Flash, which could have major implications for the Absolute Universe.
